Short Biography of Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche
Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche was born in 1980 in Bumthang, a region of central Bhutan, which was blessed as a hidden, sacred land by Guru Padmasambhava. He was recognized as the reincarnation of Adzom Gyalse Gyurme Dorje by his root teacher His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
Then he was first ordained as a monk at Kharbandi, Phuntsholing, Bhutan; later, at Shechen Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, the grand enthronement ceremony was conducted by Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in the presence of Kyabje Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche and Nyoshul Khen Jamyang Dorje Rinpoche along with many other religious figures. He was named as Adzom Gyalse Gyurme Thegchok Dorji.
At an early age, he was well taken care of with loving kindness by his root teacher, Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and during that time he received lots of teachings, transmissions, and empowerments from Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, until he passed to Parinirvana, and after that, with guidance, teachings, and empowerments from his root teacher Kyabje Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, and also received teachings and empowerments from Lama Rigzin Palden.
By 2004, under the guidance of Kyabje Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, he had completed an extensive nine-year course in Buddhist philosophy and graduated from the Philosophical Collage (Shedra). After his graduation, Rinpoche started teaching and giving oral transmissions (lung) at Shechen Philosophical College in Nepal and he presides over all the annual Drupchens and ceremonies in Shechen Monastery in Nepal and even at branch monasteries in Bhutan until now. He also gives guidance to the monks who stay in retreat for three years in Bhutan, where he has a retreat centre in Bumthang.
His radiance shines far beyond the borders of the monastic walls. His teachings inspire people from all walks of life to embark on a journey of self-discovery, compassion, and inner peace.
